Success in CAMP Soccer

You might assume, coming to a CAMP Soccer training session, that you’d only run ladders and sprint around the field. That’s what we train people to do after all, right? Wrong! At CAMP Soccer, players of any age or playing level have the unique experience of training with nationally certified CAMP employees that have their own teams playing at high levels.

There are four main aspects to any sport that are essential for success.

They are:

  1. Technical Skill: based on individual skill level, like dribbling, passing, shooting, defending, catching, throwing, swinging…you get the picture.
  2. Tactical Skill: based on the team or individual’s overall strategy for winning the game/match/etc. For example, making runs, plays, and using formations.
  3. Physical Skill: based on the physical condition of the athletes.
  4. Mental or Psychological Skill: based on the athlete’s ability to overcome adversity and perform under pressure during sport.

At CAMP Soccer, all of these aspects are addressed as athletes work on skills such as first touch, striking, and passing while performing drills that simulate a game-situation and are physically demanding. The strength training side of CAMP Soccer not only increases the athlete’s speed; it leads to a greater confidence and aggression on the ball. Throughout training, athletes must show dedication and determination in order to improve their mental strength and see the results they desire.  These training sessions present an environment that is rare among other club training sessions or soccer camps.

Although Paul doesn’t have an English accent and Patty enjoys country dancing on the weekends, they each bring valuable expertise to their training sessions. They are passionate about what they do and work hard to ensure you see great improvements in your technical, tactical, physical, and mental game.
