NUTRITION & SLEEP
CAMP firmly believes in a holistic approach to performance, emphasizing health and wellness before anything else. Nutrition and sleep are vital components of athletic development and health, both physical and mental. In order for an athlete to improve, they must be physically stressed and then properly recovered. Getting enough sleep is the most important thing an athlete can do to enhance their recovery, while proper nutritional habits is the second. Here at CAMP, our athletes are required to fill out the Complete Athlete Meal Journal, and keep track of their sleep habits. A cornerstone of our performance programs are coaching our athlete on proper “sleep hygiene” and nutritional guidance.
WARM UP + MOVEMENT + STRENGTH
Every CAMP performance plan follows a similar structure. Every sessions will begin with a thorough warm-up that follows the RAMP protocol.
RAISE – ACTIVATE – MOBILIZE – POTENTIATE
After a thorough warm-up, our athletes will do some sort of athletic movement. These movements range from plyometrics to agility to top-end speed mechanics. After the movement, we finish the sessions off with strength exercises. Sometimes we spend more time doing strength exercises, in other instances more time is spent doing the movement portion. Each session is designed specifically for the group’s participants.
