Given the very limited amount of time to prepare a team before games begin, High School coaches must have players who are technically sound and physically ready to play AT TRYOUTS. The High School Soccer Conditioning Clinic by CAMP, Building Better Athletes is the perfect way to stay healthy and be ready to compete. Teams then can immediately focus on the tactical elements of the game and do better in pre-season and early season games as other ill prepared teams struggle to catch up. Our CAMP Trainers and Performance Specialist continue to work with high school teams throughout the season to maintain a high level physical performance and support the athletes, allowing coaches to focus on the game.
5 critical elements of performance
Prepare the body for the moments of unbalance and instability that will be placed on it during competition.
Speed and agility
Proper mechanics for sprinting and changing direction including acceleration and deceleration, and jumping.
Muscles move the body and stop the body. The more you have the faster and better you move and react.
Bring the athletes from a de-conditioned state to being able to have the proper work-to-rest ratio to stay fast and efficient throughout the game.
Nutrition and Recovery
Continually discussed and reinforced with the athletes to encourage proper behavior while teaching athletes how to take care of their bodies and ensure optimal performance when it counts.
This program is unique to CAMP and has proven to be extremely affective in improving performance, reducing injury and preparing athletes for the upcoming season. Players who show up to tryouts in top physical condition, having worked on the mechanics of speed and agility along with improved strength have a noticeable edge over players who haven’t put in the same effort.
Our methodology is a foundational progression designed to reduce injury, improve mechanics of movement, increase soccer specific metabolic capacity, and increase power through strength development as it relates to the game. This five week program begins in the last week of June and continues through the end of July, ending the Friday before the week of High School tryouts.
Space is limited to maintain a proper ratio of trainers to athletes so individual performance is improved and kids aren’t lost in a crowd.
